Arrived an it looked like a healthy 6.5m day, then I saw someone heading out on a 4.7m. There was a bit of a shadow at the water's edge because there was a hint of offshore. Didn't quite believe it was 4.5m weather so opted for a 5m and went with the floatier board to get through the wind shadow.

Headed out and 100m out was hit by a monstrous wind. Fantastically overpowered for about an hour. I didn't think I was ever going to coe down from some of the jumps. Actually, I would have prefered a smaller sail, but as it was already about 4pm, I didn't bother.

Came in to change to my wave board and this made things a bit more controllable, but as usual, the wind dropped a little, so had to scurry back to swap to the JP again. Was feeling nicley powered up and so I figured I'd go for a loop. Much pain and some very gory shins, but I had three attempts before calling it a day, vowing to have a go next time. An excellent day. Probably the best this year. Five stars even though I didn't do a loop and came of the water losing blood.
